Dr. Ananya Sharma
Chief Clinical Officer
Dr. Ananya Sharma leads Suman's clinical strategy and ensures all assessments, AI responses, and content meet the highest evidence-based standards. Her dual training at NIMHANS (India's premier mental health institution) and King's College London gives her a unique perspective on bridging Western clinical frameworks with Indian cultural context.
Her research focuses on digital mental health interventions for low-and-middle-income countries, with particular emphasis on culturally-adapted screening tools and AI-assisted therapy support systems. She has published extensively on the validation of PHQ-9 and GAD-7 in Indian populations.
At Suman, Dr. Sharma oversees the clinical validation of every feature, reviews AI companion responses for clinical accuracy, and ensures that the platform's Ayurvedic personalization layer is grounded in evidence rather than pseudoscience. She is the primary medical reviewer for all condition pages and clinical content.
