Dr. Rajesh Kumar designs and validates Suman's clinical assessment framework. His expertise in psychometrics ensures that the PHQ-9, GAD-7, GHQ-12, and other instruments used in Suman are properly adapted, validated, and interpreted for Indian populations.
His doctoral research at AIIMS focused on the cultural validity of Western psychological measures in Indian contexts โ identifying where standard instruments work well and where they need adaptation. This work directly informs how Suman scores and interprets assessments.
Dr. Kumar also leads Suman's research partnerships with academic institutions, contributing to the growing evidence base for digital mental health in India. He reviews all assessment-related content and ensures scoring algorithms align with clinical best practices.
